Our Bio

Rich Wyman & Lisa Needham are the captivating musical marriage between award-winning pianist, songwriter & producer Rich Wyman, and singer-songwriter-storyteller Lisa Needham. This soul-stompin’ piano and vocally driven duo is a high-spirited live act that received standing ovations on their tour with the Grammy Award-winning Gipsy Kings across the USA and Canada and the prestigious ASCAP Music Cafe at the Sundance Film Festival. Recently the duo opened for Kenny Loggins at Red Butte Gardens and returned to Europe in 2022 for their first tour since the pandemic.

With powerful piano chops that evoke the intensity of Billy Joel and Ray Charles, and a gritty hurricane-of-a-voice like John Hiatt, Rich Wyman is an outstanding technical musician and songwriter who performs with a level of passion seldom seen. Pounding the keys while using every note to his advantage, Wyman most definitely gives the piano its proper rock & roll due.

Rich’s music has topped international charts, has won 10 ASCAP awards, and is an accomplished producer. Most noteworthy, he’s worked in the studio with Rock and Roll Hall of Famer Eddie Van Halen and has shared the stage with headlining artists including Alanis Morrisette and Goo Goo Dolls.

Needham developed her 3-octave range amidst the training ground of New York City nightclubs and cabarets.  Her versatile and electrifying vocal style is soulful and emotive, evoking a rich, powerful, and weighty quality reminiscent of Annie Lenox and Paula Cole. Her ability to switch between different parts of her range with relative ease and skill offers up the warm and more feminine colored tones of her vocal spectrum comparable to KD Lang and Joni Mitchell. Needham’s voice is also replete with a ‘40s-style jazz sensibility that owns the stage with unique improvisational style & phrasing.

This dynamic duo is a crystal clear testament to the bond they share on and off the stage that can most directly be experienced through their live performances.
